It all started when I was looking for my very first home, not represented of course. I would drive through neighborhoods and call the numbers on the signs. I was truly clueless about the process, clueless on how to negotiate, but I did it. I contracted my first home without the help of a professional; I got lucky, that transaction went well though I now know I left money on the table..lots of it. The time came for a bigger home. You guessed it, back at it again but this time a custom build, no Realtor. This was when I learned the hard way that there is a reason why people have to be licensed to help others buy and sell real estate. I will not bore you with the details but we will just say, that was when my passion for representation was born. I did not pursue real estate immediately as I spent some years at home with the babies but as soon as I knew it was time to go back to work I eagerly began my real estate career.
I transitioned my license from Realtor to Broker Associate in 2018 and finally to Broker in 2022 when I opened The Compass Group. I specialize in New Construction and Residential Sales as I love both equally.
Being named Top Producer many years in a row, I can tell you that I have strong negotiating skills, local market expertise and so forth. My record already speaks to that. What I want to stress to you is that my passion is real estate: The opportunity to meet and get to know my clients. The relationships built that last years, a lifetime. The joy of watching faces when your clients know it is “the one”. The ability to make the call and say “we have an offer, we have an accepted contract”.
On the other side of that narrative is the fact that real estate is not always easy – as a matter of fact, it is downright hard sometimes. Watching families move away. Watching homes have to be sold. Watching contracts fall through. Watching dreams not realized when offers are not accepted. Times like these, while difficult, I count it an honor to be able to walk through them with my clients and provide the necessary roadmap to accomplish their future goals.
As you can probably gather by now, I am a huge believer that you do not need a computer to find your dream home: You need a professional partner who has your best interest at heart.
Not only do I enjoy buyer/seller representation, I also enjoy being a part of several committees that further enhance the real estate profession. These committees include: The Central Mississippi Realtors Grievance Committee, The Central Mississippi Realtors Governmental Affairs Committee and The Mississippi Association of Realtors LegReg Committee.
When not selling real estate, I enjoy spending time with my Golden Doodle, RJ, and my two kids: Bayli Ballard and Phen.
